The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston is home to the inaugural staging of BizCon: The Innovation and Financing Conference for SMEs, set for Tuesday, April 23.
BizCon offers a dynamic blend of speakers, insightful presentations and engaging workshops with an expansive trade show floor where attendees can discover and interact with the newest products and services to catapult their businesses’ growth.
Participants will hear presentations from guest speaker and global digital transformation expert Mark John Stewart, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Wentworth Strategy Group, Canada.
Sharing the stage with Mark are top financial, investment and digital transformation experts including David Mullings, chairman and CEO of Blue Mahoe Capital, Herbert Hall, founder and chief investment banker and consultant, Ambassador Capital Partners and Christopher Burns, CEO, First Atlantic Commerce.
The conference, which targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), is spearheaded by digital transformation specialist and Next Step Digital Solutions’ (NSDS) chief vision officer, Mohan Beckford.
Beckford has been building the digital capacity of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Jamaica, Guyana and Canada to compete and capitalise on opportunities within the global marketplace for more than 15 years.
The two-day event is being held under the theme ‘Digital Innovation and Financing Opportunities for SMEs’ and will facilitate dialogue between SME business interests, investment and technology experts and international development specialists. “BizCon provides a phenomenal opportunity to welcome SMEs to explore and discover innovative technologies and financing solutions for evolving SMEs while offering an enabling platform for networking, B2B meetings, and deal-making with local and global business interests in and around the two-day programme,’’ said Beckford.
Day one will allow business operators to interact directly with the guest speakers in an intimate VIP cocktail event. Day two guarantees thought-provoking conversations to bolster businesses’ economic and operational framework. Exhibitors from the financial, technology, and business development industry will also showcase a wide range of financial and digital solutions geared at assisting SMEs in growing and scaling their business operations.
